Legal Disclaimer

1. Services
Sinan Renovation provides residential and commercial renovation services, which may include painting, demolition, flooring installation, drywall repair, tiling, carpentry, trim work, surface preparation, caulking, cleanup, and other related renovation services as outlined in the estimate, invoice, quote, work order, or service agreement. The exact scope of each project will be confirmed in writing and may include, but is not limited to: areas to be renovated or serviced, required preparation work, materials and products to be used, project phases or stages, exclusions, pricing, estimated timelines and scheduling.

2. Quotes and Estimates
All quotes and estimates are based on the information available at the time of inspection, consultation, or discussion. Unless otherwise stated in writing: quotes are valid for 15 days from the date issued, pricing applies only to the defined scope of work, unforeseen conditions, hidden issues, or additional client requests may result in extra charges. Verbal estimates are not binding unless confirmed in writing by Sinan Renovation.

3. Changes to Scope and Additional Work
Any work not included in the original approved scope will be considered additional work and may result in extra costs and/or scheduling adjustments. Examples include: additional rooms, surfaces, or fixtures, structural or major drywall repairs, water, mold, smoke, or pest damage remediation, removal of flooring, wallpaper, adhesives, or existing materials, changes to materials, finishes, colours, layouts, or designs, excessive furniture or item relocation, corrections caused by inaccurate or incomplete site information. All changes may be documented through written change orders, invoices, emails, text confirmations, or other written approvals.

4. Deposits and Payment Terms
A deposit may be required depending on project size and scope. Unless otherwise agreed in writing: progress payments may be required for larger or multi-phase projects, final payment is due upon substantial completion or within 3 days of invoice issuance, overdue balances may incur interest at 4% per month or the maximum rate permitted by law. Sinan Renovation reserves the right to pause or reschedule work in the event of overdue payments.

5. Accepted Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods: e-transfer, cheque, bank transfer, cash, card, Stripe, Square, PayPal invoice. Third-party processors may apply their own fees or terms where applicable.

6. Scheduling and Delays
All start dates and completion timelines are estimates only and may change due to: weather conditions, material shortages, labour availability, site access limitations, project changes, safety concerns, unforeseen circumstances, events beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate any delays in a timely manner.

7. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to: provide safe and reasonable site access, ensure utilities such as water and electricity are available when required, remove or protect valuables and fragile items, keep children and pets away from work areas, disclose known hazards (asbestos, mold, lead, leaks, unsafe conditions, etc.), ensure the site is ready for scheduled work, review and approve all colours, materials, and finishes prior to installation. Unless otherwise agreed, the Client is responsible for securing all valuables, electronics, artwork, and breakable items.

8. Material and Finish Selection
The Client is responsible for final approval of all materials, colours, finishes, and fixtures. Sinan Renovation is not responsible for dissatisfaction resulting from: approved selections, differences between samples, photos, or digital previews and final results, lighting conditions, manufacturer batch variations. Changes after ordering materials or starting work may result in additional charges.

9. Existing Conditions and Surface Preparation
We perform reasonable preparation work included in the agreed scope. Unless specifically stated, services do not include: structural engineering, hazardous material removal, mold remediation, major reconstruction, specialty restoration. We do not guarantee generic uniform finishes on surfaces that are damaged, uneven, or improperly prepared.

10. Access and Work Areas
Work areas may be temporarily restricted during the project. For safety and quality reasons, access may be limited until work is completed or conditions are safe.

11. Client-Supplied Materials
Where the Client supplies materials: we are not responsible for quality, durability, or manufacturer defects, additional charges may apply if materials are unsuitable, no warranty applies to failures caused by client-supplied materials.

12. Permits and Compliance
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, Sinan Renovation is not responsible for obtaining permits, inspections, engineering approvals, or regulatory compliance. The Client is responsible for ensuring all applicable building codes and property regulations are met.

13. Cleanup
Reasonable cleanup is included at project completion, including removal of standard tools, coverings, and debris. Unless otherwise stated, services do not include: deep cleaning, hazardous waste disposal, duct cleaning, removal of pre-existing debris.

14. Inspection and Acceptance
The Client agrees to inspect completed work promptly. Unless written notice is provided within 3 business days, the work will be considered accepted, except for defects not reasonably visible at the time of inspection. Minor touch-ups do not delay payment obligations.

15. Warranty
Sinan Renovation provides a limited 2-year workmanship warranty from the date of substantial completion for defects directly caused by our work under normal conditions. This warranty does not cover: normal wear and tear, moisture, leaks, or water damage, structural movement, mold or mildew, improper ventilation, misuse, abuse, external damage, third-party damage, pre-existing conditions, manufacturer defects, client-supplied materials. Our responsibility is limited to repair of affected areas. Refunds are not guaranteed unless required by law.

16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sinan Renovation is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of income, business, profits, or delays. Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific services related to the claim.

17. Client Cancellation
If the Client cancels after approval or material ordering, they may be responsible for: materials already purchased, labour already completed, scheduling or restocking fees. All rights under Ontario consumer protection laws remain applicable.

18. Suspension or Termination
Sinan Renovation may suspend or terminate services if: payments are overdue, the site is unsafe, access is restricted, required information is not provided, abusive behaviour occurs, site conditions differ significantly from the original scope. The Client remains responsible for all completed work and incurred costs.

19. Photos and Marketing
Unless the Client opts out in writing before work begins, Sinan Renovation may use project photos for documentation and marketing purposes, provided no personal or sensitive information is disclosed.

20. Electronic Communications
By providing contact information, the Client consents to receive project-related communications including quotes, invoices, updates, and receipts. Promotional messages will comply with applicable laws.

21. Website Use
Users agree not to misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, upload malicious software, or copy content without permission. All content remains the property of Sinan Renovation.

22. Privacy
All personal information is handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and our Privacy Policy.

23. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and applicable federal laws of Canada.

24. Dispute Resolution
Parties agree to first attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith communication before pursuing legal action.

25. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining sections remain valid and enforceable.

26. Entire Agreement
These Terms, along with any estimates, invoices, proposals, scopes of work, or approved change orders, constitute the full agreement between the parties unless otherwise agreed in writing.
